I started doing Ontario Adventures at the start of Summer 2018. My son then 6 years old had gotten hooked into Minecraft and no longer wanted to see the world outside. I work full time and wanted to make sure the time we did have together was time that we both could learn and grow from.
I have always traveled, in my early 20's I got the travel bug while away with two of my friends. That road trip to Nova Scotia taught me a well-planned trip can be packed full of beautiful sites and wonderful memories. On that trip, my two girlfriends made fun of me relentlessly about my clipboard of fun! Yes!! I made a clipboard with a full day-by-day itinerary for our trip. They thought the clipboard was too much but I thought of it as a way to pack all the fun in, and we did! The Clipboard of Fun in some form has been on every road trip since.
Over the last three years, I have gone on over 20 Ontario Adventures. I have gone on adventures with my son, my son and husband, with friends, and even alone. All these trips have been planned and well researched to get the most out of the time spent seeing new parts of the province. When I finished each of these trips I would go through the photos I took and post a collage to Facebook with a little description of what we did. I posted to show ideas to friends and family just in case they wanted to plan a road trip but weren't sure where to go.
The idea of this blog is a build on that same idea. I want to take the trips we've been on and the trips we are still planning and share those ideas with others. I would love to know my blog inspired others to experience Ontario. I will also take inspiration from this blog to plan even more fun-packed adventures!
I can't wait for the next Ontario Adventure!
